You make me sing! Yes, my online backup service gave me a great surprise today. It made storing my data online just get easier and with a whopping saving in price.
Despite what I write about savings, I am as cheap as the guy next door. I buy value and hesitate when buying something if I don’t feel the price matches the value offered.
But since I signed up for this service about two years ago, I have no reason to be cheap. That is, I can back up my data for less than $2.00 each month and feel safe that I don’t have to depend on my vulnerable hard drives.
In addition, I feel safer knowing that I have a place I can easily go to get my data if one of those lowlifes succeed in bring down my system again. I can tell you I receive threats almost every day, but I use a firewall and antivirus software. I also take the time to update my antivirus definitions everyday and do a scan of my computer each day.
But the price is unbelievable, given that I can now get up to 2 gigabytes a month for the low price of just $2.00. If you think that is a good price it is, because now I can add some of my downloads to the backup log, giving me added protection.
I previously backed up some of my downloads to an external drive but now I can select the important ones that would make data recovery a cinch. I still will not back up music files, or video files, neither will I back up tele-seminars. But application programs from sellers who do not offer many products on the Internet are a good bet.
