Backups Make Good Recovery
On Christmas Day two years ago, I found myself in the wild, wild west of data recovery.
My computer attracted a virus worse than the SARS epidemic of two years ago. After several futile hours trying to access the files, I decided I needed help. No, it is not what your thinking.
I began scouring through the Yellow Pages trying to find a geek who would come to my house. I eventually picked one and he showed up bright eyed and bushy tail, flushed with seasons greetings.
Not having backups is one a way road to data recovery. But even if you have a backup there is always the possibility that you will need to call in someone to help you restore your data.
However, I want to convince you that you too should start backing up your data files regularly. Should the worse happen, you would have done your job, and can willingly pay a geek to restore your records to their pristine nature. And remember you also need to back up the photos on digital cameras, music and e-books from your ipods, and a whole lot more.
